Weight... we’ve all struggled with it at one point or another. Some of us have had more difficulty than others. Many of us have tried diet after diet only to see the scale continue to creep up on us. We have such a connection with food. In many ways food has satisfied our emotional needs. We turn to food when we’re lonely, sad, happy, angry, or even just bored. Well, we know how you feel, so we’ve compiled an assortment of material to help you decide which plan is best for you. So, before you jump into the next diet, check out all of your options. You don’t have to go out and read book after book at the library to figure out which diet and exercise plan will work for you. Exercise... Just the thought of it makes some of us cringe. We’ve all come up with excuse after excuse for why we can’t exercise. We don’t have enough time, it’s too hot, too cold, or too rainy, we’re too tired, our feet hurt, etc. However, with the exception of those who have true medical problems, we are capable of doing some form of exercise. It is important for all of us to get at least 30 minutes of exercise 3 times each week in order for us to ensure our overall health and well-being. We’ll need to do even more than that if we want to loose weight. Now that we’re clear on that, what type of exercise will we choose? We could walk, run, swim, bike, or try a different form of exercise like pilates, yoga, or the exercise ball. Where can we find out about these types of exercise, you ask? Right here, we have compiled information on all of these exercises in one place, so that it’s easy to decide which type to try.

Support... We all need to have a cheering section. We need someone who will encourage us to keep working at our goals even when we don’t want to. It is difficult to change our eating habits and start exercising, and we need to find people who will motivate us to keep making the right choices, not try to get us to slip back into our old patterns. Whenever we make changes in our lives, sometimes it is difficult for the people who are closest to us to get used to our new lifestyle adjustments. In some ways, they were comfortable with the old “us”, and it can be difficult for them to adapt to the new person that we are becoming. Our husbands, wives, or children might complain when all of a sudden the chips and soda have been thrown out and replaced with water and fresh fruits and vegetables. They might not like having to eat dinner a little bit later than usual because you stopped to work out before coming home from work. However, our families will learn to adapt once they see the way that these small changes have helped us. The people who truly love us not only want us to be happy, but they want us to be healthy as well.
